We’ve just released an update which fixes a compatibility problem with Internet Explorer 9. If you run Windows Vista or Seven, and recently installed Internet Explorer 9, you may be experiencing issues with the HTML editing panel; after you load a template, or an external html / eml file, you are not able to edit it in preview mode – it looks like it’s locked, or write-protected.
The technical reason for this behaviour is a “change” (but we may well call it a bug…) in IE9 “designmode” implementation by Microsoft – which was not present in IE9 betas, only in RCs and the final release. Since an embedded instance of Internet Explorer, switched to “designmode”, is used by SendBlaster as the HTML editor, this is causing the problem.
As soon as we were reported of the issue, we released an update (2.0.127) which features a workaround, and works perfectly with IE9. If you installed Internet Explorer 9, please update to SendBlaster 2.0.127 (or later):
This IE9 “bug” is causing issues with lots of HTML editing softwares using the same component, including some popular e-mail clients (even from Microsoft, some users reported).
Therefore, it is very likely that Microsoft will correct it with some IE9 update. But our suggestion at present is not to install IE9, or revert back to IE8 if you are encountering similar issues with your HTML editors or e-mail clients (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/how-do-i-install-or-uninstall-internet-explorer-9)

SendBlaster‘s customers enjoy free support for life. Our operators are ready to solve any issues through a ticketing system, able to keep track of each request in an efficient way.
In addition, anyone (free users included) can join us on Facebook and Twitter and ask general questions on any topic.
Today, we’d like to share a couple of questions we answered in the recent past on our social profiles, so others can benefit too:
1. Can you tell me where SendBlaster keeps smtp logs?
You can access them from “History” – select a mailing and press “log” button. The original text files are saved in “My documents\SendBlaster2\history” folder.
2. History indicates emails are sent. However, Gmail gives messages that there is a permanent delivery failure of the same address. Is Gmail giving wrong results?
When you use SMTP, you can only know whether a message was sent, which means accepted by the SMTP server; this doesn’t mean it has reached the recipient – you need to process the bounce-backs for this.

It’s a lovely summer evening – the air has cooled but sunshine’s still warming the sidewalks, & you’re… at work? What are you still doing there?
Oh, designing your next email campaign. Uh, nope, I’m not sure how to add a border to your photo – or what to do about those weird line breaks. You had better figure it out, though, or you’re going to miss the gelato that we’re all eating for dinner.
This sentiment, of course, carries over into other seasons: why slave over something specialized like coding HTML emails, when you have so much other stuff to do?
Do you (a super-busy small business professional) really need to learn how to craft an effective, engaging email using programs with a high price and even higher learning curve? Well, hiring an internal designer is a big investment – and outsourcing every single email campaign will get expensive, fast.
